Conway Family residence. Yorkshire. The year 1919, the great war has just ended, Mrs. Conway and her family have it all, it’s Kay’s 21st birthday celebration – and it seems like everyone has a bright and promising future ahead of them.
But, in a leap of time and a glimpse into the future, we find that life did not go as expected. Aspirations have been missed, relationships have failed, and the truth about the Conway family is being exposed.
“Time and the Conways,” written in 1937, is considered the best in Priestley’s time series, which play with the concept of time and are influenced by the time theory of theorist J.W. Donna.
