The Preparatory Program for Acting - Curriculum

Studying in the Preparatory Program provide an introduction to the world of theatre and acting, on route to study acting full time, or as a stand-alone program. The top teachers of the Studio teach a variety of classes at the Preparatory Program: acting basics, improvisation, movement for theatre and singing.

The students of the program can participate as technical crews in the year 3 productions of the studio, and thus experience the technical aspects of the productions (assistant directors, production managers, sound and lighting operators and more).

Studying in the program grant 2 stages of auditions for the Triennial Program (instead of 3)

Hours

The Preparatory Program includes two weekly sessions of 6 hours.

In total: 12 weekly hours. The meetings are held in the mornings.

Curriculum

– Movement for theatre.

– Voice pedagogy and song interpretation.

– Choir.

– An Actor’s Work on Himself.

– Improvisation.

– Scenes and monologues.

Admission requirements

Registration and audition (which include one monologue of your choice, either comical or dramatic, from plays staged in a repertory theatre in Israel).
