The Kites – Based on a novel by Romain Gary

The Yoram Leowenstein Acting Studio Proudly Presents:
The Kites

Based on a novel by Romain Gary
Play: Ido Ricklin
Director: Rafi Niv

Ludovic, a peasant’s son from Normandy, meets Lila, the daughter of a Polish noble family. Their love is interrupted by World War II, which separates the them. Ludovic, who is gifted with a wonderful memory, struggles to preserve the memory of his love, just as others around him struggle to preserve a memory of freedom, morality, a human image. There are those who enlist in the underground, those who cling to tradition to preserve the “spirit of France”, those who are ready to sacrifice their lives, and those who pay a terrible price to survive. “The Kites” is a human drama full of magic and devoid of emotion, which looks at the fate – and the moral responsibility – of the individual in a time of crisis, and a test for all humanity.
