Phaedra’s Love – By Sarah Kane – Class of 2016

The Yoram Leowenstein Acting Studio Proudly Presents:
Phaedra’s Love

The mythical story of the greater-then-life and forbidden love of Phaedra and her step-son Hippolytus, in a modern adaptation by the young playwright, Sarah Kane, world-renowned for her provocative plays which shocked the theater world.

Sarah Kane, who committed suicide at the age of 28, takes the myth of Hippolytus and Phaedra to extreme contemporary districts, revealing a world of a family, full of intrigue and passion, a family that the Kardashian and other celebrities families pale in comparison. Sarah Kane was ahead of her time to unveil the world of reality to television and theatre.

The show was created jointly by three graduates from the studio’s class of 2014, now playing in Gesher Theater.
