Of Mice And Men – By John Steinbeck – Class of 2022

The Yoram Leowenstein Acting Studio Proudly Presents:
Of Mice And Men

By John Steinbeck
Translation: Dori Parnas
Director: Yoram Loewenstein

“On Mice and Me” is amongst the most important novels in American literature, and was John Steinbeck’s greatest literary success. The play is a homage to a period of economic depression and the stock market crash in the United States during the 1930’s, in which people were fighting for their livelihood and looking for work to survive.
Lenny is a huge, weak-minded guy, with enormous and uncontrollable physical strength which he is not aware of, but with the soul of a small child. His friend George, the complete opposite of Lenny, drags Lenny from farm to farm in search of work. Lenny and George have each other, and together they dream of their own modest farm.
The new farm they get to is different than others, and for once their dream could finally come true, but their luck turns, all the way to the surprising ending.
