About:
Blind date – the modern nightmare of every single man and woman in the world. Aaron and Casey meet for a date. He is a banker, a Jew, who is looking for a meaningful and binding relationship, and she is an artist, from a Christian family, with a sharp and rough character. During the date, the two have countless fears and anxieties, which appear in their imaginations, in the form of family members, friends and mythological exes that turn the date into a doomed failure. But as the night drags on and the walls of protection slowly collapse, Aaron and Casey manage to see beyond the prejudices and the first impression and form the beginning of what appears to be a relationship.
"First Date" is a contemporary, cynical, kick-ass and mostly laugh-out-loud musical. He succeeds in turning the cliché of a first date into a bitter and funny look at modern life in the threatening shadow of social media, the difficulty of establishing human connection against the background of a world that is becoming increasingly cold and alienated, and the constant search for true intimacy and human connection.
