Following a medical accident, a pair of parents, on the advice of a groundbreaking psychiatrist, decide to raise their son as a girl to allow him to live a “normal” life.
Adam Turner, 22 years old, who grew up as a “girl,” falls in love with Jenny, a single mother. It is a great love, but their relationship comes to a standstill when he cannot reveal his past secret to her.
“Boy” candidly exposes the connection between parents and children, the consequences of the choices we make in life, and bravely explores the human attempt to overcome past difficulties by building new lives in the present, for the sake of the future.
The play is based on a true story.
