Belgrade 1995 – a city under non stop bombing. war crimes, devastation and destruction everywhere. Thousands of young people escape overseas from the never ending war to start a new better life. The transition to a foreign place forces them to deal with a non familiar environment and rediscover themselves and their closest ones.
At the night of the Sylvester the fragile reality brakes and time stands still. Violent, sex, betrayal and lies abrupt the dream and pulls them back to a reality in which you can escape the war but you can not escape yourself.

This is Serbian playwright Biljana Srbljanovic’s first play, first produced in Belgrade in 1997. Belgrade trilogy was translated and performed with great success in many countries of the world and received many praises and awards.

Duration of the play is about one hour and twenty minutes without a break
